I just had an incredible IPL laser session with Kara and Kelly today. I have rosacea and have used IPL for years to help reduce the redness. This is often a very painful laser treatment, but Kara and Kelly numbed my skin beforehand and used this incredible cold blower during the treatment that made it very close to pain free. It was incredible. I won’t dread IPL treatments ever again. This was the most comfortable I have ever been during a treatment. And my before and after photos truly demonstrated the effectiveness of this treatment. I highly recommend this medical spa and Kara and Kelly for IPL laser treatments! 5 stars!! More

My experience here at Pura Vida was magical and welcoming from the moment I walked in. From the beautiful boutique, welcoming faces, and aesthetically pleasuring atmosphere, to my initial consultation with Melissa, I was very pleased and the long drive from my home to the spa was well worth it. With very little knowledge, I initially went in thinking I wanted micro channeling done due to my acne scarring and redness. However, after sitting down with Melissa and explaining a little bit about my skin and what I want to ultimately achieve, she confidently recommended 3 sessions of a chemical peel (3 suitable to my skin needs/ concerns) which I have never had before. She thoroughly explained each step of the process, and explained everything financially with no pressure intended or forceful convincing how I have experienced from other spas and estheticians in the past… This made me feel 10x more comfortable and confident in her ability to help me with my skin journey. The other treatment was hydro therapy facial on my lower legs for super dry skin. The tech explained what she was going to do and how it worked. I was a bit surprised at a “scraping” sensation I felt. Again NO pain! I find all the staff to be very welcoming and personable. I know some about the procedures offered, but they all seem well informed and eager to educate. I am already thinking about my next visit 😍 More

First thing I noticed is that no one was wearing a mask. So that concerned me a bit. Which is why I gave four stars. I wore my mask when I came in and then took it off for my facial. They should enforce masks here especially during facials when you are up close with the person giving you a facial. ( right next to your face and talking to you) Otherwise everything was perfect. I have been going to Pura Vida for over a year now for monthly hydra facials from Melissa with great results! I also have enjoyed the salt cave on several occasions. And Sara has begun my laser treatments and after 2 sessions the difference is remarkable. I recommend a membership or even the packages. But they are also very knowledgeable consultants, able to evaluate your needs and educate you on what treatments and products would benefit you the most. Amanda has been making improvements to my skin, by getting rid of the red broken capillaries on my nose and cheeks with IPL treatments... it is amazing to see them disappear!! I also asked her to help me find the right products for my middle-aged, sun damaged, starting to wrinkle face and have had wonder results with all of her recommendations! Today I was looking to do something special for myself after a very long stressful work week so (after Kathy lovingly got me a mimosa!!!) Amanda recommended a body scrub and massage with Erica.... what an experience! Erica is a dream and the scrub and massage were heavenly! My skin feels absolutely amazing and I left that room a new woman! I can’t wait to go back!! More

There is a cute boutique area of lovely products you can purchase from natural soaps and skin care to bath salts, candles, and other pretty items. There is a salt room, treatment rooms (i.e. laser & massage), and a lounging area. I was very pleased with the professionalism and "cool girl" personality of Amanda (aesthetician). I feel like I can expect solid skincare advice and treatment recommendations specifically tailored for me (rosacea/acne and tattoo removal). I do have to say, I live near Gate Pkwy/JTB, which can be somewhat of a drive at certain times of the day. And I am sure you can imagine, there are many spas around me (I have tried most of them), but I really like this one. I just schedule my times around rush hour and the drive is easy-peasy! More
