I just had an incredible IPL laser session with Kara and Kelly today. I have rosacea and have used IPL for years to help reduce the redness. This is often a very painful laser treatment, but Kara and Kelly numbed my skin beforehand and used this incredible cold blower during the treatment that made it very close to pain free. It was incredible. I won’t dread IPL treatments ever again. This was the most comfortable I have ever been during a treatment. And my before and after photos truly demonstrated the effectiveness of this treatment. I highly recommend this medical spa and Kara and Kelly for IPL laser treatments! 5 stars!! More

I’m really enjoying my monthly treatments with Hannah! I have monthly facials preceded by Aerolase and Dermaplaning. Hannah is very detail oriented and knowledgeable in all aspects of skincare! What I found most impressive is that at such a young age she has achieved so many levels of success. Her depth of education as an Esthetician is inspiring! I would highly recommend a facial with to learn more! More

My experience here at Pura Vida was magical and welcoming from the moment I walked in. From the beautiful boutique, welcoming faces, and aesthetically pleasuring atmosphere, to my initial consultation with Melissa, I was very pleased and the long drive from my home to the spa was well worth it. With very little knowledge, I initially went in thinking I wanted micro channeling done due to my acne scarring and redness. However, after sitting down with Melissa and explaining a little bit about my skin and what I want to ultimately achieve, she confidently recommended 3 sessions of a chemical peel (3 suitable to my skin needs/ concerns) which I have never had before. She thoroughly explained each step of the process, and explained everything financially with no pressure intended or forceful convincing how I have experienced from other spas and estheticians in the past… This made me feel 10x more comfortable and confident in her ability to help me with my skin journey. Her recommendation saved me money in the long run and she was overall very informative. During the treatment, I was relaxed and she was super gentle. My experience with the peel was overall a 10/10. Thank you Melissa for making my experience and drive well worth it and for being the most genuine and helpful as you possibly could have been. Your non judgmental and reassuring attitude towards our appointment today, entirely rested any concerns or doubts I may have had about my insecurities. I had my first Aerolase treatment and all throughout she checked on me to make sure I was comfortable. Once that was completed I opted for a diamond glow facial. She made it very relaxing and did not rush through it. She’s very sweet and great at what she does! I will definitely book again ;) More

I then went to Carly for my procedure. Carly is very friendly and was very good at explaining what was going to take place and what to expect as she did my procedure. If you are thinking about having a facial, especially a Salt or Diamond Glo, Chrissy at Pura Vida Body and Mind Spa is the BEST!!! I have been going for facials for a long time to many good places as good skin care has always been very important to me. Once I saw Chrissy I have never went anywhere else. If you are looking for a great new spa to go to, check out Pura Vida Body and Mind Spa in Fleming Island. You will feel instantly welcomed the minute you walk in. A soothing and authentic vibe - the staff is great! You can tell right away everyone involved bringing this space to life really took time to make it something special. I actually feel like a guest rather than a dollar sign...so refreshing! They do not accept tips, so don't take offense if they turn you down... it's not personal. There is a cute boutique area of lovely products you can purchase from natural soaps and skin care to bath salts, candles, and other pretty items. There is a salt room, treatment rooms (i.e. laser & massage), and a lounging area. I was very pleased with the professionalism and "cool girl" personality of Amanda (aesthetician). I feel like I can expect solid skincare advice and treatment recommendations specifically tailored for me (rosacea/acne and tattoo removal). I do have to say, I live near Gate Pkwy/JTB, which can be somewhat of a drive at certain times of the day. And I am sure you can imagine, there are many spas around me (I have tried most of them), but I really like this one. I just schedule my times around rush hour and the drive is easy-peasy! More
