Glo2Facial in Fleming Island: How the Oxygen Facial Works

Glo2Facial by Geneo is an oxygen facial that exfoliates, oxygenates, and infuses a nutrient serum in one visit. Instead of blowing oxygen onto the skin from a tank, it uses a capsule that reacts with a gel on your face to trigger the skin’s own oxygen response. The result is a bright, plump, glowing finish with no downtime, and it is the facial we reach for first when skin looks dull and tired.

What Glo2Facial Actually Is

Glo2Facial by Geneo is a medical-grade facial platform on our facials and peels menu. It combines three processes in a single handpiece. Where a spa facial mostly cleans the surface, Glo2Facial treats the skin in layers. A licensed aesthetician performs every visit and adjusts the treatment to what your skin needs that day.

The appeal is how much it does without being harsh. Many facials that deliver a strong glow rely on aggressive exfoliation or an acid, which can leave sensitive skin red for hours. Glo2Facial gets its glow mostly from circulation and hydration, so the skin looks brighter while the surface stays comfortable. That balance is why patients book it before weddings, reunions, and holiday photos, and why it fits well between stronger treatments in a longer plan.

How the Glo2Facial Works, Step by Step

  1. Exfoliation. A treatment capsule on the handpiece gently buffs away dead surface cells as it glides across your skin.
  2. Oxygenation. The capsule reacts with a gel applied to your face and creates fine carbon dioxide bubbles. That prompts your skin to draw oxygen-rich blood to the area. Geneo calls this Oxfoliation.
  3. Infusion. Your aesthetician then uses ultrasound to push a nutrient serum into the freshly prepared skin.

Choosing Your Capsule and Serum

Glo2Facial is not one fixed formula. Before the treatment starts, your aesthetician picks the capsule and serum for your main concern. Dull or uneven skin gets a brightening combination. Oily, congested skin gets one aimed at clearing pores. Mature skin gets one focused on firmness and hydration. Tell your aesthetician what bothers you most at the consult, and the treatment will be built around it. Your aesthetician may change the combination from visit to visit as your skin changes.

Is Glo2Facial an Oxygen Facial?

Yes, but not the kind you may have tried before. Traditional oxygen facials spray pressurized oxygen from a tank over the face. It feels refreshing, but most of that oxygen stays on the surface.

Glo2Facial works from the inside. The carbon dioxide bubbles made by the capsule reaction cause the skin to respond as if it needs oxygen, so it increases blood flow to the treated area. More circulation means more oxygen and nutrients reaching the skin from within. That is why skin looks visibly flushed with color and plumper right afterward, and why the serum step that follows absorbs so well.

Glo2Facial vs. HydraFacial and DiamondGlow

  • Glo2Facial: gentle exfoliation plus an oxygenation step. Best for dullness and sensitive skin.
  • DiamondGlow: diamond-tip exfoliation with suction. Best for rough texture and clogged pores.
  • HydraFacial: suction with an acid solution. We do not carry it on-site.

Our DiamondGlow versus HydraFacial comparison goes deeper on the two suction-based options.

Who It Suits, and When We Recommend Something Else

Glo2Facial is a strong fit if your skin looks dull, tired, or dehydrated, if you want a same-day glow before an event, or if you are trying a medical-grade facial for the first time.

We suggest something else when:

  • Active breakouts are the main problem. A SaltFacial with blue LED, or a chemical peel, works on acne more directly.
  • Redness and flushing are the concern. The cooling Glacial Facial is the calmer choice.
  • You want to soften acne scars or deeper lines. DiamondGlow, microneedling, or a peel series reaches further.
  • You are pregnant, nursing, or on isotretinoin. Tell us when you book so we can plan around it.

What to Expect at Your Appointment

Your visit starts with a quick skin assessment to choose the capsule and serum. The treatment takes about 45 to 60 minutes. Exfoliation feels like a light massage, oxygenation feels fizzy and cool, and the ultrasound step is warm and quiet. You leave with a fresh glow and can wear makeup the same day.

For a single event, one visit a few days ahead is enough. For lasting changes in brightness and clarity, plan a short monthly series and then maintenance every six to eight weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Glo2Facial Questions, Answered

Is Glo2Facial the same as HydraFacial?

No. They belong to the same family of three-in-one facials, but Glo2Facial adds an oxygenation step that HydraFacial does not have. We do not carry HydraFacial on-site; our HydraFacial alternatives guide compares the options we offer.

What does the oxygen step feel like?

Fizzy and cool. As the capsule reacts with the gel, you feel light bubbling on the skin, a bit like a sparkling mask. It is not painful, and most patients find it the most enjoyable part of the visit.

Will I be red afterward?

Most patients leave with a healthy flush that fades within the hour, and many look simply glowy. You can put on makeup the same day. Keep strong exfoliants and retinol out of your routine for a couple of days.

Is Glo2Facial a good first medical-grade facial?

It is one of the easiest to start with. The exfoliation is gentle, there is no acid peel, and the results show the same day. That makes it a comfortable way to see how your skin responds before you add stronger treatments.

How many Glo2Facials should I plan on?

One visit gives an instant glow for an event. For lasting changes in tone and clarity, most patients do a short series about a month apart, then maintain every six to eight weeks, depending on their goal.
