Julie Davis

I'm Julie Davis, the founder of Pura Vida, and a self-professed lifelong learner. I hold a bachelor's degree from UCF, a law degree from Mercer University, and a master's in health administration from Ohio University, along with several healthcare-management certifications. With more than 20 years in healthcare — including plastic surgery and medical spas — I believe in leading by example, so don't be surprised to find me working right alongside the rest of the team.

I built Pura Vida to close a gap I kept seeing: most medical spas were fluffed-up rooms tucked inside a plastic-surgery or dermatology practice — medical in name, but never spa in feel. I wanted to bring genuinely advanced clinical care and real spa comfort together under one philosophy, and to build a team that treats the whole person. Today Pura Vida is a regional training center where providers travel from across the country to learn.

Giving back matters deeply to me. I've mentored many women in business, serve in the Clay County Chamber of Commerce, and have founded two nonprofits — most recently Reconstructing Dreams, which offers no-cost cosmetic care to survivors of violent crime, domestic abuse, and sex trafficking. I'm also the founder of Pura Vitale Professional Skincare and a healthcare-consulting firm. My husband and I have three daughters.
