What to expect at your appointment
We Check Your Skin and Prep the Area
Your aesthetician asks about recent sun exposure and any medications or topical treatments, including retinoids, then cleanses the area and checks that hair has grown out about a quarter inch so the wax can grip.
Your Aesthetician Applies the Warm Wax
Warm wax is spread over the area in the direction of hair growth, then pressed with a strip or left to set, depending on the wax and the area being treated.
The Hair Comes Away at the Root
The wax is lifted away in a quick, practiced motion that pulls hair from the root. Sensitive areas are worked in smaller sections with a gentler touch and a bit more time.
We Soothe the Skin and Set Aftercare
A calming finish settles any redness, and you leave with simple aftercare: no sun, no hot tubs or saunas, and no retinoid or exfoliating products for about 24 to 48 hours while skin recovers.
