About Julie Davis
Me Professionally:
I am Julie Davis, the creator and founder of Pura Vida. As a self-professed and unapologetic nerd, I’ve always been passionate about learning. My educational journey includes a Bachelors Degree from UCF, a law degree from Mercer University, a master’s in health administration from Ohio University, and several healthcare management certifications. With over 20 years in the healthcare industry, including experience in plastic surgery and medspas, I feel well-prepared to lead the Pura Vida Body & Mind Team. I believe in leading by example, so don’t be surprised if you see me working right alongside the other Pura Vida team members.
Driven and passionate about my work, I take pride in giving back whenever possible. I’ve mentored many women in business, helping them reach heights they might have once thought unattainable. I am an active member of the Clay County Chamber of Commerce and many other professional women’s groups. My commitment to giving back extends beyond mentorship—I’ve founded two non-profit organizations. My most recent venture, Reconstructing Dreams, Inc., offers no-cost cosmetic services to victims of violent crimes, including domestic abuse and sex trafficking. Additionally, I have served as a court-appointed, volunteer guardian ad litem for abused and neglected children in the foster system.
Me Personally:
On a personal level, my journey through various life, educational and professional experiences have shaped who I am today, a serial entrepreneur. In addition to Pura Vida, I am also the founder and owner of Pura Vitale Professional Skincare and Physicians First Practice Solutions healthcare consulting firms. I am married to my husband who is a Master Electrician and entrepreneur. Yes, we are busy! Together we have three beautiful and gifted daughters. In our precious downtime, we love boating, fishing, cooking out, traveling, and relaxing all of which we do with our sidekick, Dudley Doodle (our dog).
