Want a Facelift but Don’t Want to Go Under the Knife?

triLift™ is the Non-Surgical Facelift You’ve Been Waiting for! If you’re over the age of 40, you’ve probably looked in the mirror and noticed the subtle (or not so subtle) changes that happen from aging. By the time we get to 50, most women describe aging like this:

  • “My face is falling down.”
  • “I look like my mother.”
  • “I look older than I feel.”

If any of that sounds like you, then you’ve probably also wondered about having a facelift someday. Trust me, I have personally thought about it more times than I can count! I’ve looked in the mirror and pulled my skin up just to remember what I used to look like. When I was 45, I told myself I would wait until I’m 50 to get a facelift. Well, here I am at 51 and I am still not willing to go under the knife, and frankly, I don’t want to spend $10,000-$20,000 for a reputable surgeon.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, have no fear. Pura Vida Body & Mind Spa right here in Fleming Island has something amazing for people like me who want to look younger without surgery and without looking “plastic.” In mid-2022, the leader in aesthetic devices, Lumenis launched triLift™, the ground-breaking, first and only of its kind device that tr trophy, volume loss, and a reduction in collagen and elastin.

How a Surgical Facelift Works

Most modern facelift techniques involve some sort of manipulation of the deeper layers of the face such as tightening of the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) layer. Tightening the facial muscles and underlying connective tissue provides the support for the skin. On the other hand, facelifts performed without tightening of the SMAS layers (skin only facelifts) tend to result in an unnatural (windblown) appearance that most of us fear and don’t want. This type of lift also rarely eliminates all wrinkles and often doesn’t last very long. For this reason, reputable plastic surgeons rarely perform a facelift without addressing the muscle atrophy that contributes to facial drooping (nasal labial folds and drooping jowls). Additionally, more often than not, facelifts combine surgical techniques along with skin rejuvenation devices such as lasers to give the most optimal results.

Typical post-surgical downtime, without complications, includes pain, discomfort, drains, bruising, swelling and lasts 10-20 days with final healing being anywhere between 1-3 months. Suffice it to say, having a facelift is quite a commitment physically, emotionally, and financially. Therefore, like everything in aesthetic medicine, we highly recommend you do lots of research on the different facelifting techniques as well as the qualifications of the surgeon before you decide to proceed. Or, you may even want to consider non-surgical options.

How triLift Works – The Non-Surgical Facelift

TriLift™ is the first device ever to address the root causes of facial aging, including muscle atrophy. Until now, nothing has been able to address the drooping caused from muscle weakness, except for major surgery.

TriLift™ uses dynamic muscle stimulation technology to stimulate the facial nerves with electrical impulses causing the SMAS muscle fibers to expand and contract. Activating these muscles causes increased blood circulation, flooding the skin and tissue in that area with nutrients and oxygen. With repeated stimulation, the muscles are toned and tighter which lifts the facial fat, tissue, and skin upward. The tightening of the SMAS musculature can even prevent the retaining ligaments from becoming stretched and fatigued (another cause of facial drooping). That means we can now lift the face earlier in life too, so no need to wait until “you're old enough for a facelift.”

In addition to stimulating the facial muscles, triLift™ also uses radiofrequency energy (RF) to stimulate the body’s healing response, causing it to produce collagen and elastic. This all in one, combined approach creates a total rejuvenation at all layers of the face. Facial volume is increased, the skin tone and texture is improved and the muscles are lifted. There simply is NOTHING else like triLift™!

Hate Your Sagging Neck?

So many of us struggle with our aging necks. Most of us didn’t take good care of our skin there, failing to apply sunscreen as diligently as we did on our faces and rarely using a quality neck cream to keep the skin hydrated and healthy. Well, great news! The platysma and masseter muscles are connected to the neck so when we tighten those muscles during the triLift™ treatment protocol, you also get improvement in your neck laxity. Take a look at the image below to see all the facial muscles that are improved using triLift’s innovative protocol.

What To Expect Before and After Your triLift Sessions

Typically, following your consultation, you will need 4-6 treatments each week for optimal results. Very few people find the treatment to be uncomfortable, however, at Pura Vida Body & Mind Spa, Fleming Island, we offer the option to use Pronox (laughing gas) during your treatment to alleviate any anxiety related discomfort. Once you have completed the initial number of sessions, one maintenance session is recommended every 3-6 months.

On the day of your treatment, you will want to refrain from applying makeup or anything to your skin (unless recommended by your treatment provider) for 24 hours. You may or may not develop tiny little scabs that will shed off naturally in a few days. Other than that, you can return to normal daily activities without any pain or discomfort.

So, if you’ve ever thought about having a facelift, NOW is the time to come see Pura Vida in Fleming Island for a complimentary consultation. Having a full-face rejuvenation, with natural long-lasting results, NO SURGERY, and at an affordable price, is finally possible thanks to triLift™! Call or text us today!
