Brown Spot Removal For Aging Skin w/ IPL - Fleming Island
The patient's main concern was the hyperpigmentation (brown spots commonly referred to as age spots) and to even her skin tone. At her first appointment we performed a Visia Skin Analysis to help determine the extent of UV sun damage (brown spots), broken capillaries, and wrinkles. Upon review of the Visia results, she agreed to undergo a treatment series of three IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) using the Limelight IPL device by Cutera. She also had one "spot" PicoGenesis treatment with the Enlighten Laser to correct a few of the more stubborn brown spots. She is very pleased with her results. The hyperpigmentation is about almost completely cleared. To maintain the results, she is now following a maintenance program of IPL treatments every 4-6 months to remove any residual brown spots that may surface over time. She is also having HydraFacials monthly which provides superb exfoliation. HydraFacial is a non-laser skin resurfacing device that reduces superficial pigmentation, hydrates mature skin and improves skin texture, tone and pore size. She is also using a medical grade hydroquinone nightly to inhibit melanin production (to keep brown spots from occurring in the future). With this treatment program, she will continue to have glowing, healthy, youthful looking skin that is long lasting.More
